Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Block Party
The Kensington Fire Protection District (KFPD) launched a new emergency preparedness initiative across the community. This program is based on a familiar annual tradition from National Night Out. The well-attended block parties of late summer are now the platform to promote neighborhood collaboration and household emergency preparedness. Residents have an opportunity to host the Kensington Fire Protection District Emergency Preparedness Information Booth to provide block party attendees with valuable and relevant information to make their homes and community safer. These neighborhood gatherings will also stress community awareness and preparedness for local wildfire danger and evacuations.
